The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Confluent Kafka, distributed systems, and cloud integration. This role requires a hands-on developer with Kafka administration, troubleshooting, and real-time data streaming experience.Key Responsibilities: Identify and resolve Kafka messaging issues in a timely manner. Design, implement, and deliver solutions using Agile methodology. Work independently across multiple environments (DEV, QA, UAT, PROD). Administer distributed Kafka clusters and troubleshoot performance issues. Develop and debug microservices and components within the Kafka ecosystem. Implement and optimize Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, and KSQL queries. Follow an "automate-first" approach for deployments and monitoring. Provide technical direction and mentor junior engineers.Required Skills: Strong knowledge of Confluent Kafka (producers, consumers, topics, partitions, brokers, replication). Programming proficiency in Java or Scala (Python is a plus). Experience in Kafka system design and architecture (high throughput, fault tolerance). Understanding of data serialization formats (JSON, Avro, Protobuf). Hands-on experience with Kafka Streams API for real-time data processing. Kafka monitoring and troubleshooting experience. Cloud integration expertise (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Understanding of distributed systems (leader election, fault tolerance, HA, DR). Strong knowledge of Kafka security features (authentication, authorization). Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Desirable Skills: Experience with Kafka Connect and KSQL architecture. Hands-on experience with Kafka database connectors (Oracle, MySQL, etc.). Expertise in Kafka clustering and administration. Experience developing and deploying Kafka Streams clusters. Familiarity with Confluent Control Center and Kafka monitoring tools. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues. Experience working in an Agile development environment.
