Job Description:

A Network Operations Center (NOC) Team Lead plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing the operations of a NOC team. Here are some key responsibilities and qualifications typically associated with this role:

Responsibilities:

1.  Team Management:

     Supervise and mentor a team of NOC Engineers.

     Schedule shifts, assign tasks, and ensure 24/7 network monitoring and support.

2.  Technical Leadership:

     Provide technical guidance and support in troubleshooting complex issues.

     Act as the first escalation point for network faults.

3.  Network Monitoring:

     Ensure accurate network fault reports and timely escalation notifications.

     Maintain and update network availability reports.

4.  Training and Development:

     Provide technical training on tools, technologies, and processes.

     Champion knowledge sharing and regular updates to the knowledge base.

5.  Process Improvement:

     Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiency enhancements.

6.  SLA Management:

     Manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for third party links.

     Prepare monthly outage reports and ensure prompt reporting of network faults.

7.  Performance Management:

     Support the team in meeting their goals and conduct continuous performance monitoring and evaluation.

Qualifications:

       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field.

       8 10 years of relevant work experience.

       Certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are desirable.

       Strong telecommunications and IP design skills.

       Understanding of ITIL v4 service management.

       Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

       Hands on experience with routing, switching, and VPN technology.

       Experience with wired and wireless point to point and point to multipoint technologies is a plus.

       Proficiency with Juniper and Cisco DNA.

       Experience with MPLS, BGP, QoS, DDoS mitigation, VPN technologies, DMVPN, Nokia, and NSP.

       Familiarity with ServiceNow, Splunk, ExtraHop, and NetBrain.
