Job Title: Cybersecurity Engineer Telecom Location: Frisco, TX (Onsite) Duration: Long term Job Description: As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing advanced security strategies to protect our telecom infrastructure against emerging threats. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify vulnerabilities, develop incident response strategies, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement security solutions for telecom networks and infrastructure. Conduct security assessments and vulnerability management to identify and mitigate risks. Collaborate with internal and external teams to improve security posture and incident response. Manage and monitor security tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and SIEM solutions. Develop and maintain incident response and disaster recovery plans for telecom systems. Ensure compliance with telecom industry standards and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO, GDPR). Conduct forensic analysis of security incidents and provide detailed reports on findings. Perform risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability scanning for telecom applications and networks. Keep up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, vulnerabilities, and technologies. Requirements: Experience: 8-10+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on telecommunications. Technical Skills: Proficiency with telecom security protocols and systems. Expertise in security tools like firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint security solutions. Knowledge of network security, encryption, and threat management. Strong understanding of telecom infrastructure (e.g., IMS, VoIP, mobile networks). Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP). Familiarity with regulatory requirements (NIST, ISO, GDPR, HIPAA). Certifications: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional). CISM (Certified Information Security Manager). CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional). CompTIA Security+, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), or equivalent. Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Ability to analyze complex security threats and provide actionable insights. Experience in managing security incidents and responses.
