This role involves advanced software quality assurance and testing activities, including the development and execution of automated and manual test cases, performance testing, and collaboration with development teams to ensure the quality of complex web applications. The candidate will play a critical role in supporting the IT-SEDS (Information Technology Statewide Education Data System) projects. Responsibilities: Analyze user requirements, design documents, and other documentation to develop detailed test cases. Create and execute automated functional and regression test cases using tools like Selenium and TestNG. Report and document all issues, test cases, test results, and testing summaries in detail. Perform manual testing and data validation to ensure application functionality. Execute SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data for testing purposes. Collaborate with development teams and customers to understand functionality and define test case automation. Conduct performance and accessibility testing using tools like WAPT Pro or JMeter. Qualifications: 7+ years of experience testing complex web applications. 7+ years of experience testing all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). 5+ years of experience with Database/SQL Language. 3+ years of preferred experience with test automation tools like Selenium and TestNG. 3+ years of preferred experience with performance testing tools like WAPT Pro or JMeter. 2+ years of preferred experience with JIRA and Zephyr Scale. Strong understanding of Java programming language for test automation. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment. Preferred Skills: Experience with tools like WAPT Pro, JMeter, or other performance testing tools. Previous experience with JIRA and Zephyr Scale for test management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work outside normal business hours when required.
