This role is crucial in designing, developing, and deploying robust applications, APIs, and services. The ideal candidate will have experience with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) and Power BI, along with a deep understanding of SQL Server, including stored procedures and query optimization. Additionally, senior-level expertise with Azure DevOps is essential, particularly in creating and managing deployment pipelines. Key Responsibilities: Application Development: Design, develop, and deploy high-quality applications and services using the .NET Core Framework. Build and maintain APIs, ensuring security, scalability, and performance. Develop and enhance frontend web applications using modern frontend frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Blazor etc.). Reporting & Data Visualization: Develop and manage SSRS reports, ensuring effective data representation and reporting solutions. Utilize Power BI to create dynamic dashboards and reports for business insights. Database Management: Develop and optimize complex SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and indexing strategies to ensure database efficiency and performance. Conduct in-depth query optimization to support high-performance applications. Code Quality & Service Development: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices. Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers on code quality and standards. Design and implement Windows Services that are reliable, maintainable, and performant. DevOps and CI/CD Pipelines: Create and manage CI/CD pipelines for various projects using Azure DevOps, including automated builds, tests, and deployment workflows. Work closely with operations and development teams to streamline deployments and improve the overall development cycle. Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA, product, and business teams, to define requirements and deliver solutions. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and timelines. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 7+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on full-stack development using .NET Core. Strong experience with frontend web application frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, or Vue.js). Strong experience in SSRS report development. Hands-on experience with Power BI for data visualization and business intelligence reporting. Extensive experience with SQL Server, including stored procedures, indexing, and query optimization techniques. Proficient in writing and maintaining Windows Services. Strong experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines, including creating, configuring, and maintaining CI/CD workflows. Deep understanding of clean code principles, design patterns, and software development best practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: Development experience in the insurance industry. Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies. Experience with cloud infrastructure, especially Microsoft Azure.
