This position offers a fantastic opportunity for a developer to work closely with quants and desk strategists to drive strategic projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical and analytical skills, with a passion for equity derivatives pricing and risk management. Key Responsibilities: Develop and enhance components for the Risk Viewer platform, focusing on orchestrating complex risk calculations. Apply rule sets to product economics and market model data. Collaborate with the team to ensure high standards in software quality, including contributing to TDD (Test-Driven Development) and best practices in agile development. Actively participate in architectural design meetings and code reviews to ensure high-quality solutions. Lead and support different phases of the product lifecycle, from analysis and design to development and deployment. Required Skills: Experience in Java development for large-scale, multi-threaded, and distributed systems. Solid understanding of relational databases. Experience with UNIX/Linux as a development platform. Proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Experience with agile methodologies and TDD. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal clients and senior stakeholders. Additional Information: Hybrid role: 3 days per week onsite in New York City. Only local candidates from NY/NJ will be considered for this role. This is a contract-to-hire position, with potential for full-time conversion after one year.
