Job Title: DB2 Database Administrator (DBA) Location: Remote Duration: Long Term Contract Experience: 12+ Years Skills & Qualifications: 12+ years of hands-on experience in DB2 database administration, focusing on DB2 LUW (Linux, Unix, Windows) environments. Proficiency in DB2 database architecture, backup, recovery, performance tuning, and security best practices. Strong SQL and DB2 query optimization skills. Experience with DB2 tools, scripting, and database monitoring tools. Expertise in troubleshooting DB2 database-related issues and performance bottlenecks. Experience with database design, schema changes, and version control for DB2. Familiarity with Linux/Unix/Windows environments, including basic OS troubleshooting and configuration for database performance. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and explain complex database concepts clearly. DB2 certifications (e.g., IBM Certified Database Administrator for DB2) are a plus. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with DB2 on z/OS is a plus. Familiarity with cloud database technologies and migration to the cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.). Knowledge of other database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
