Processing description: http://bit.ly/4ey8w48 https://jobs.nvoids.com/job_details.jsp?id=2239790&uid= Title: MES (Manufacturing Execution System) Functional Consultant Location: Boston, MA Duration: Long Term Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled MES Functional Consultant to lead the implementation, customization, and optimization of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for our clients. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and shop floor operators to bridge the gap between manufacturing operations and enterprise-level systems, ensuring seamless data flow and process automation. Key Responsibilities: Requirement Analysis & Solution Design Gather business and technical requirements from clients. Analyze manufacturing processes and translate them into MES functionalities. Design and document MES solutions, including workflows, data models, and system architecture. MES Implementation & Configuration Configure and customize MES solutions based on client requirements. Define and manage system integration with ERP (SAP, Oracle, etc.), SCADA, PLCs, and other automation systems. Develop and execute MES deployment plans. Testing & Validation Perform system testing, debugging, and validation to ensure functionality meets business needs. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and resolve issues. Training & Support Conduct training sessions for end-users and technical teams. Provide post-implementation support and troubleshooting. Develop user manuals and documentation. Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement Identify areas for operational efficiency improvements. Recommend MES enhancements and best practices for manufacturing execution. Required Skills & Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Experience: 3-7 years of experience in MES implementation and consulting. MES Platforms: Experience with one or more MES solutions such as: Siemens Opcenter (SIMATIC IT, Camstar) Rockwell FactoryTalk AVEVA Wonderware MES PTC ThingWorx, Dassault DELMIA Apriso, GE Proficy ERP & Integration: Familiarity with SAP PP/PM, Oracle SCM, or other ERP systems. Technical Skills: Knowledge of SQL databases, APIs, web services. Scripting/programming (Python, JavaScript, VBScript) is a plus. Industry Knowledge: Understanding of discrete, batch, and process manufacturing environments. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management abilities. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) and Industry 4.0 initiatives. Knowledge of GMP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance (for pharmaceutical/biotech industries). Certifications in MES platforms or ERP systems.
