In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of our mainframe systems. You will ensure the availability, performance, and security of our mainframe environment, and collaborate with other IT teams to deliver reliable and efficient mainframe solutions. Responsibilities: Mainframe System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain z/OS and related mainframe software. Perform system monitoring, health checks, and performance tuning. Manage system resources and capacity planning. Perform system backups and restores. Manage user administration and security. Mainframe Software Management: Install and maintain mainframe software products (e.g., CICS, DB2, IMS, JCL). Apply software patches and upgrades. Manage software licenses and inventory. Database Administration (DB2, IMS): Monitor and maintain DB2 or IMS databases. Perform database backups and restores. Optimize database performance. Troubleshoot database issues. Mainframe Network Administration: Configure and maintain mainframe network connectivity. Troubleshoot network issues. Implement and maintain network security measures. Mainframe Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain mainframe security policies and procedures. Manage user roles and authorizations. Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments. Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations. Troubleshooting and Support: Troubleshoot and resolve mainframe system issues. Provide technical support to developers and end-users.
