Job description:
5+ years of progressively responsible data privacy and data classification experience (gained ideally at a SaaS or other high growth technology company
Expert in data mapping and OneTrust | critical thinker
This role will implement privacy policies, compliance processes, and solutions within Onetrust or similar tools that protect our corporate, employee, and customer data.
As a Data Protection Analyst, youll be a key contributor in identifying data risks and controls relating to third parties, data privacy, data classification, AI output, support records retention, and foster a compliance culture throughout the company.
Youll partner with various internal organizational stakeholders, including LRC, IT, Business Intelligence, Security, Product, Engineering, and Marketing, to support data mapping, classification, and inventories. In addition, you will help control mapping and evidence collection on data protection regulations and frameworks.
The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, creative, detail-oriented, interested in data privacy, data classification and handling, information technology systems, and data protection processes.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Maintain Records and Data Quality: Ensure records are current and reportable, including Data validation and metadata management for comprehensive and consistent reporting dashboards within Onetrust and PowerBI
Facilitate Requests: Assist in fulfilling data subject rights requests (access, deletion, do not sell, etc.) in compliance with applicable regulations
Annual Assessments: Lead and update annual assessments, questionnaires, and data protection risk registries as needed, and escalate any necessary risk remediation
Data Protection Compliance Tools: Support the development and implementation of data protection compliance tools and processes aligned with business objectives
Impact and Risk Assessments: Assist key stakeholders with privacy impact assessments (PIAs), data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), AI assessments, and third party risk assessments related to new projects, processes, and systems
Data Processing Records: Maintain data inventory and records of data processing activities (ROPA) and data lineage maps within tools.
Audits: Support the evidence collection, control reviews, and reporting of maturity of data protection frameworks such as NIST, GDPR, ISO, CCPA
Records Management: Support records management program by helping to identify source systems and data sets for retention and documentation
Lead or support additional projects as needed, potentially including system integrations with procurement and asset management tools
Stay abreast of technical improvements in data mapping and data protection processes to continually improve and mature process automations and data collection

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Third party risk experience and familiarity with data protection regulatory control frameworks such as NIST, GDPR, ISO, and GAPP are required
Bachelors degree and OneTrust experience required, OneTrust Certification and IAPP Certifications are a plus
High EQ, impeccable professional ethics, integrity, judgment, and demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential information and sensitive information with tact and discretion
Highly detail-oriented, organized, proactive, efficient, and resourceful with exceptional follow-through skills
Ability to simultaneously manage workloads, multiple client demands, and shifting priorities within a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively counsel internal business partners by providing clear and concise advice and creative solutions to meet business needs
Strong desire to learn the business and to function integrally as part of an interdisciplinary team
Able to operate autonomously while being a team player who brings a positive can do attitude to the workplace working collaboratively with other members of the LRC Department and with internal business partners
Experience working with a global team is a plus
