I am looking for the candidates regarding the following position ----

SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) with HIPAA

Remote

Senior Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) with 10+ years of experience in database administration and 5+ years supporting healthcare insurance claims adjudication systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SQL Server management, performance tuning, and high-availability solutions, along with a strong understanding of healthcare claims processing workflows, Medicaid/Medicare regulations, and HIPAA compliance. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize claims adjudication processes and ensure database reliability, security, and scalability.

Qualifications:

10+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA, with a proven track record in database administration, optimization, and security.

5+ years of experience in healthcare insurance claims processing, with knowledge of claims data structures, adjudication rules, and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, CMS guidelines, Medicaid/Medicare processing).

Expertise in SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

Proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, query tuning, and database optimization.

Experience working with EDI transactions (837, 835, 270/271, 276/277) and healthcare claims processing workflows.

Strong knowledge of ETL tools (SSIS, Informatica, or similar) and data integration strategies for claims processing.

Familiarity with cloud-based SQL solutions (Azure SQL Database, AWS RDS for SQL Server, or similar) is a plus.

Ability to lead database migrations, upgrades, and system integrations in a healthcare environment.

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer, configure, and optimize SQL Server databases (on-premises and cloud) supporting healthcare claims adjudication systems.

Design and implement database performance tuning strategies, indexing, and query optimization for high-volume claims processing.

Manage high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions, including Always On Availability Groups, failover clustering, and replication.

Ensure HIPAA compliance and data security for Protected Health Information (PHI).

Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex database performance issues, deadlocks, and connectivity problems.

Work closely with claims processing teams, developers, and business analysts to support and enhance claims adjudication workflows.

Support ETL processes, data integration, and reporting solutions related to claims processing and analytics.

Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior DBAs and developers.

Maintain and update database documentation, data models, and best practices.
