Are you a driven .NET Developer looking for an exciting opportunity We are looking for an entry-level .NET developer to fill a role on our application development team! Candidate Requirements: Must be currently living in North Carolina and willing to commute to the Raleigh area occasionally. Only candidates eligible to work full-time without sponsorship will be considered. Candidates should have or be near completion of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Programming or closely related fields. What We Offer: Temporary-to-Permanent Opportunity: After an initial contract period, the contractor will be eligible to apply for a full-time opportunity! Competitive Salary: Anticipated salary range for the permanent role is $67,900 - $80,000 per year. Flexible Start Date: Ideal start time is May/June, with flexibility for the right candidate. Your Role: As a .NET Developer, you will: Develop and maintain web applications using Active Server Pages .NET (ASP.NET), C#, and Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture. Work extensively with Open Data Protocol (OData) Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). Enhance functionality and user experience for current applications Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices. Adhere to Single Responsibility, Open-Closed, Liskov Substitution, Interface Segregation, Dependency Inversion (SOLID) principles, design patterns, and object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts. Design, write, and optimize queries and stored procedures using Structured Query Language (SQL) Server. Implement end-to-end testing to ensure software quality and performance. Debug, test, and troubleshoot applications for smooth functionality. Follow version control practices using Git and GitHub. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance (QA), User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) designers, and business analysts. Work closely with the Product Owner to understand and deliver business requirements. Qualifications: 6 months experience in the following areas, and a strong desire to grow Strong knowledge of C# (version 7 or later), ASP.NET (version 4 or later), MVC, APIs (OData version 3, version 4 or later), .NET Core (version 6 or later), JavaScript (ECMAScript version 5 or later), and jQuery (version 3 or later). Familiarity with SQL Server and database management (version 2016 or later). Understanding of basic data structures, algorithms, OOP principles, coding standards, and best practices. Experience or interest in end-to-end testing methodologies. Ability to write modular, reusable, and well-documented code. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
