From: Manish Kumar, Scalable [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Title: Data Modeler (Erwin Modeler ) Location: San Antonio,TX (Onsite) Job Type: Contract Key Responsibilities: Data Architecture & Design: Understand and design concepts for modern data warehouses, data lakes, ETL, and ELT processes. Design and implement logical and physical data models to meet business needs and technical requirements. Define and govern data modeling standards, tools, best practices, and methodologies for enterprise data models. Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with business analysts or subject matter experts to gather and understand data requirements. Translate business requirements into well-defined data models, ensuring both operational and analytical needs are met. Data Governance & Expansion: Oversee and govern the expansion of existing data architecture, ensuring scalability and optimization of the data ecosystem. Manage and monitor the expansion of data architecture in hybrid cloud and on-premises environments. Implementation Support: Plan and support the implementation of designed data structures by coordinating with Admin teams and application development teams. Ensure smooth execution of data integration, migration, and infrastructure management processes. Documentation & Communication: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for data models, processes, and architecture designs. Present complex data modeling concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. Essential Skills: Experience: 4+ years of experience in building data warehouses, middleware interfaces, and performing data profiling and analysis. 2+ years of experience in Relational Modeling, Dimensional Modeling, Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Modeling for OLTP & OLAP systems (data marts and data warehouses). Technical Skills: Proficiency in data modeling tools such as Erwin, ER/Studio, or similar. Solid understanding of Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, ERD/ER Diagrams, Granularity, Cardinality, and Database Re-engineering. Strong experience with AWS, cloud data warehouses, and data lakes. Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to assess and resolve complex data challenges. Ability to design models that align with business needs while optimizing data storage and retrieval. Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively articulate complex data requirements and design solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Industry Experience: Experience working in the P&C Insurance Domain is a plus. Desirable Skills: Advanced Data Modeling: Experience with dimensional and relational data modeling using Erwin. Knowledge of metadata management, data governance, normalization/denormalization, indexing strategies, and the snowflake schema. Modeling Experience: Experience designing Conceptual Data Models (CDM), Logical Data Models (LDM), and Physical Data Models (PDM). Cloud & ETL Tools: Hands-on experience with Snowflake and AWS data solutions.
