From: Pranith, Tekgence pranith.t@tekgence.com Reply to: pranith.t@tekgence.com Role: Kafka Expert Location: Plano TX (5days onsite) Locals Exp: 9-12years Contract Key Responsibilities Kafka Management: Install, configure, and maintain Apache Kafka clusters to support our banking applications. Performance Optimization: Monitor and tune Kafka clusters for optimal performance and scalability. Data Integration: Develop and manage Kafka data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow across various banking systems. Incident Management: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kafka to minimize downtime and ensure high availability. Security: Implement security best practices to safeguard Kafka environments, including encryption, authentication, and authorization. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Kafka configurations, procedures, and best practices. Collaboration: Work closely with developers, database administrators, and other IT team members to integrate Kafka with other systems. Upgrades and Patches: Plan and execute upgrades and patches for Kafka clusters to ensure they are up-to-date and secure. Required Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of experience in managing Kafka clusters in a production environment. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Kafka, Zookeeper, and related tools. Experience with Linux environments, scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash), and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana). Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve Kafka-related issues. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders. Banking Experience: Familiarity with the banking industry and its regulatory requirements is a plus. Preferred Qualifications Certifications: Kafka certification or other relevant IT certifications. Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and managed Kafka services (e.g., Confluent Cloud). Automation: Experience with automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
