Title - Data Engineer Location - Jersey City, NJ H1B Only No other visa please Insurance Domain Knowledge required Responsibilities: Assist in the design, development, and implementation of data solutions using AWS and Snowflake. Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and help translate them into technical solutions. Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines to ensure data quality, integrity, and security. Contribute to the optimization of data storage and retrieval processes to support data warehousing and analytics initiatives. Collaborate with senior engineers and stakeholders to gather requirements and help deliver actionable data-driven insights. Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices in data engineering. Apply knowledge of the insurance industry, particularly claims and loss processes, to support and enhance data solutions. Must Have Qualifications: Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in Data Engineering and delivery. 5+ years of experience with Big Data Concepts and cloud-based implementations. Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark. Good understanding of data ingestion, data processing frameworks, and ETL pipelines. Experience working with Snowflake, AWS (Glue, EMR, S3, Aurora, RDS, AWS architecture). Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications in a production environment. Experience working in Agile Methodology. Good to Have: Familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GIT) and practices, including continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipelines. Experience with cloud data migration and frameworks like Data Vault 2.0. Educational Requirements: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing best practices. Knowledge of data governance and data security practices. Certifications in AWS or Snowflake is a plus.
