MUST HAVE prior, recent Life Sciences experience, preferably Pfizer ROLE SUMMARY Our LIFE SCIENCES R PROGRAMMER to join their Computational Toxicology Team within the Drug Safety Research and Development Department. This is an exciting opportunity for an IT professional with 5-10 years' experience who can manage R-based application development/maintenance/migration and database migration as well as GitHub repo maintenance for the computational safety sciences group within Drug Safety R&D. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Develop best practices for code to increase maintainability and performance. Improve code to be more maintainable and performant. Identify opportunities to consolidate redundant code. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree and significant development experience Strong R coding skills. Experience using git and GitHub (share and move code). Ability to work in a collaborative environment on shared coding challenges. ADDITIONAL SKILLS Experience in R package development including testing and documentation. Comfortable communicating with databases (MariaDB, PostgreSQL) from R and python.
