The ideal candidate should have 8-10 years of expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and enhance Mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM. Analyze, debug, and resolve complex application issues in production and development environments. Optimize batch processing jobs and database queries for improved performance. Ensure compliance with coding standards, security policies, and best practices. Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable mainframe solutions. Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and impact analysis for system changes. Document technical specifications, workflows, and processes.Must-Have Skills: 8-10 years of experience in Mainframe Development. Strong hands-on expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM. Experience in Mainframe batch and online processing. Proficiency in debugging, testing, and optimizing Mainframe applications. Strong understanding of relational databases (DB2) and SQL queries. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills.Preferred Skills: Experience in Mainframe modernization and cloud migration. Knowledge of Rexx, IMS DB, and Assembler. Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments.
