This is an outstanding opportunity for a Database Administrator work for for this leading Financial Organization in Dallas. You will provide expertise in the design, installation, maintenance of corporate management systems, along with technical expertise in the use of database technologies for the overall performance of the enterprise database environment. You will work closely with analysts and developers to define and resolve information flow and content issues. You will be responsible for SQL Server Production Database Administration and also Database / ETL development using SSIS. Initially you will perform 80% Production Database Administration and 20% ETL SSIS Development. Over time this will change to 80% ETL versus 20% Production Database Administration. RESPONSIBILITIES Design and implement database in accordance to industry best practice standards Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users Determine, document and enforce database standards Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required Maintain and update personnel on related database technology development and direction. Work with vendors in evaluating and implementing technologies.
