Position: Data Platform IV(100% Remote Role) Location: 100% Remote Duration: 12 Months Job Description: Role qualifications: BS, BA degree in software or systems engineering, computer science, information systems management, or the equivalent work experience 8+ years overall experience in Hadoop Administration, managing large and Multiple on-premise environments. Strong Linux skills experience including patching and maintenance in a highly-secured environment Extensive Cloudera Hadoop experience using HDFS, Kafka, Hive, Impala, Hbase Kudu and Stream sets is a plus Excellent troubleshooting skills across the whole platform stack Solid scripting skills python and shell scripting desired Knowledge of Kerberos and Networking Strong relationship management and collaboration skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently under minimal guidance AWS experience/knowledge is a plus Healthcare experience is an advantage Experience in Infra as a code, automation using puppet, chef or ansible Experience with managing Stream sets Experience with databases such as Oracle and SQL Server is a plus What you will be doing: Responsible for all Big Data Hadoop environments which include Cloudera Hadoop (HDFS, Kudu), Impala, Hive, Kafka, Hbase Improve stability and work on performance tuning and increasing operational efficiency on a continuous basis Monitor health of the platforms and generate performance reports Participate in on-call rotation with the team to cover the platform 24x7 Working closely with development, engineering and operation teams, jointly work on key deliverables ensuring production scalability and stability Ensure the Hadoop platform can effectively meet performance & service level agreement requirements Identification of problems within the stack and take appropriate measures to escalate where necessary Perform security remediation, automation and self-heal as per the requirement Asist with Cloud strategy and migration of platform to the Cloud If you are interested, please share your updated resume and suggest the best number & time to connect with you Thanks & Regards, Himanshu | IT Recruiter | DMS Vision Inc. 4645 Avon Lane, Suite 210, Frisco, TX 75033 [email protected] | Desk- 972-645-5552 Cell 470-467-9946 www.DMSVisions.com Keywords: business analyst information technology |
