Job Title: Network Engineer Investment Banking/Capital Markets Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer with expertise in Investment Banking, Capital Markets, and Fixed Income environments. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure, ensuring minimal service disruptions while upgrading and replacing end-of-life (EOL) services and devices. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement new networking solutions to replace EOL services and devices. Develop and execute complex planning cycles to deploy solutions without impacting business-critical applications. Lead and participate in implementation and production cutover events, ensuring seamless transitions. Provide weekend availability for scheduled production cutovers and urgent network issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the current networking environment and prioritize upgrades. Work closely with a tenured team to align with strategic priorities and ensure robust network performance. Required Technical Skills: Expertise in Cisco Networking, BGP, OSPF, Multicast, mLAG, NAT, VLANs, IPAM Experience with Fortinet Firewalls, Blue Coat, F5, GigaMon, InfoBlox, NetApp Familiarity with Google Cloud Networking and hybrid cloud infrastructure Strong automation skills using Python, Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools Preferred Certifications: Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or equivalent Relevant certifications in Cloud Networking (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure) Automation-related certifications (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) This role requires a collaborative and adaptable mindset, with the ability to quickly assess and improve network environments in a fast-paced financial services setting.
