Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled WMS Architect for a Solution Architect consulting opportunity with a global retail client in San Francisco, CA. This role will focus on providing solutions for their Distribution Centers, with a particular emphasis on Process Architecture, Systems Design, Automation Design, and Operations Engagement. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Execution Systems (WES), Material Automation, and Supply Chain Systems, as well as a strong background in designing and architecting complex, large-scale solutions for retail clients. Must Haves: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (4-year degree required). Masters Degree preferred. 12+ years of experience in IT and engineering, with a strong foundation in supply chain technology. 10+ years of experience with WMS (JDA, Blue Yonder, Red Prairie preferred), WES, TMS (preferably Mercury Gate), and LMS systems. 8+ years of expertise in Supply Chain Management, working as an SME. 5+ years of direct experience in solution architecture for WES, Shipping, 3PL, TMS, ERP systems, and Material Automation/handling systems. 3+ years of experience in designing and implementing Analytics solutions (data models, reporting, AI/ML automation, and self-service analytics). Specific experience leading or implementing WMS/TMS/WES solutions for retailers or similar clients is a must.
