| From: GAURAV, SIBITALENT [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Hi, Hope you are doing well, I have one immediate need for SENIOR DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR in New York- HYBRID Please find the Job details below and kindly revert if youre interested in learning more about this job Job Title :SENIOR DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR Location: : New York- HYBRID Visa: Any visa Except H1B/CPT/OPT Job Description: One of our clients- Canadian Bank is looking for a strong Sybase DBA Responsibilities: Maintain current Sybase infrastructure Improve Database security posture Optimize Database performance Implement best practices for Database Mandatory Skills Description: More than 5 years of experience working as database administration DBA position Strong database administration experience in latest Sybase ASE version 15.7 and Replication Server version 15.7 Experience in installation, configuration and migration with both Sybase and MS-SQL database platforms Good understanding of Sybase internals and optimizer functioning and ability to apply the skills to trouble-shoot real time production issues Strong database performance tuning skills - query optimization and server tuning with Sybase and SQL platforms Provide deployment support for database objects in production and test environment Extremely comfortably in Unix shell scripting and should have prior experience in writing and maintaining complex database scripts Prior experience in migrating Sybase from Solaris to Linux platform and Sybase to SQL platform Be able to independently plan and execute large database migration projects Experience in Sybase Warm standby and MSA replication setup and support Experience with standard database monitoring tools such as Quest -Foglight/spotlight Familiar with technologies like VMware/VMHA, SRDF and SRM used for database HA & DR solutions Knowledge and experience with enterprise wide disaster recovery activities Effective verbal and writing communication skills Thanks & Regards: GAURAV VISHWAKARMA IT Recruiter (Sibitalent Corp) Office 101 E.
