This position is responsible for managing complex/custom data processing, creating advanced procedures and systems, providing detailed technical analytics for complex data exchange projects, and managing the core system for the company. The EDI Analyst IV interfaces and represents the business to the technical teams and understands all aspects of technical development and architecture, electronic data interchange design and implementation, and core system operations and functionality. In addition, the EDI Analyst IV provides team leadership, establishes technical standards for the development team, and works closely with the management team to continuously refine the KHS project management and agile development methodology, procedures, and policies to promote efficiency and productivity. The position will be required to lead, work with, and mentor people of various professional, vocational, and educational backgrounds Required Experience: Must excel in the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) formats that govern healthcare Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). Eight (8) years of progressive experience in an EDI Analyst capacity Requires at least six (6) years of experience developing and maintaining Healthcare EDI X12N transactions, including batch and real-time formats such as 837I/837P, 274, 834, 835, 270/271, 820, 999, 277CA. Understand medical terminology, including ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems related to encounters and 837s. Prefer experience understanding provider taxonomy codes and using provider NPIs and billing practices.
