TOP skills: ICCP, SCADA, XA/21,RTU Pay Rate / Level: Level I (2-3 years of experience - Pay rate up to $45.00/hour on W2 Level II (3-5 years of experience) - Pay rate up to $80.00/hour on W2 Level III (7-10+ years of experience) Pay rate up to $115.00/hour on W2 Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite and 2 remote) in Denver, CO / Minneapolis, MN / Amarillo, TX. Duration: 12 Months with potential extension / potential contract to hire Industry: Utility Skills / Typical day: Work within a collaborative team to solve operations issues and troubleshooting including issue logs and resolution This team mainly supports the transmissions team focused in ICCP. RTU, XA/21 Python scripting experience would be helpful but these roles are more SME's on EMS Administration for support but this role is more focused on targeting the application. Looking for someone who wants to learn, positive attitude and can deliver on projects within a collaborative team. ICCP (Inter-Control Center Communications Protocol) Skills ICCP (IEC 60870-6/TASE.2) is used for data exchange between control centers. Protocol Knowledge Understanding ICCP/TASE.2 protocol and its role in SCADA systems. Configuration & Integration Setting up ICCP links between control centers and utilities. Data Exchange & Mapping Defining and configuring data points for secure and efficient transmission. Security & Compliance Implementing encryption, authentication, and adherence to NERC CIP standards. Troubleshooting & Monitoring Analyzing ICCP communication logs, resolving data transfer issues, and ensuring uptime. RTU (Remote Terminal Unit) Skills RTU Configuration & Programming Setting up RTU hardware and firmware updates. Communication Protocols Working with Modbus, DNP3, IEC 60870-5-101/104 for RTU-SCADA communication. Signal Acquisition & Processing Configuring analog/digital I/O, alarms, and telemetry systems. Network Connectivity Ensuring secure connections over serial (RS-232/RS-485) or TCP/IP networks. Diagnostics & Maintenance Performing health checks, firmware updates, and troubleshooting RTU failures. XA/21 (GEs Energy Management System - EMS SCADA) SCADA & EMS Operations Monitoring and managing grid operations through XA/21. Database & Displays Configuring XA/21 system databases, HMI screens, and SCADA points. Alarm Management Setting up and managing real-time alerts for grid stability. Data Historian & Reporting Managing XA/21 historical data, event logs, and system analytics. System Administration & Upgrades Performing software updates, patches, and XA/21 performance tuning.
