Job Title: ServiceNow Technical Consultant (ITOM)

Location: Irvine, CA - Onsite

Duration: Contract

Job Description:

ServiceNow Technical Consultant (ITOM) Subject Matter Expert.

Ideal candidate will have at least 8 years experience supporting or implementing ServiceNow products. This role is an ITOM Technical SME to deliver customer services and support growth of the services business at Capgemini.

Qualifications

At least 8 years of experience with implementing ITSM Processes including Incident, Problem and Change Management, Catalogue, CMDB, Portal and Integrations in ServiceNow platform

At least 6 years of experience in Configuration/Solutions evaluation/ Validation and deployment in ServiceNow IT Operations Management Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management

At least 8 years of experience in capturing requirements related to internal/external consulting, documenting, and mapping current business process

Working knowledge in ServiceNow IT Operations Management Solutions and be able to build or modify custom patterns and troubleshoot

Good understanding of basic application and network infrastructure and interdependencies

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to describe technical solutions in the terms of the business

Interacts cross functionally on matters that require coordination across organization and collaborates well with other groups, voluntarily shares information

Deep knowledge of ServiceNow Platform and Services

Deep knowledge in ServiceNow ITOM portfolio

Strong hands-on experience in troubleshooting ServiceNow Discovery

Strong hands-on experience with REST and SOAP web services

Expertise with scripting languages such as PERL, JavaScript, Python, or

Knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle)

Familiarity with systems monitoring, log investigation, and application awareness

Familiarity with user administration, Active Directory, LDAP, etc. and the ability to troubleshoot areas of user access

Knowledge of networking concepts such as IP Addressing, Firewalls, ports

Consultative skills for software service delivery to lead customers to improve their processes and organizational models

Preferred Certification

ServiceNow Implementation Specialist Certification

ServiceNow System Administrator Certification

Roles and Responsibilities:

Lead ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping project

Strong hands-on experience in optimizing discovery, tailoring patterns and development.

Strong hands-on experience across multiple ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping projects involving a variety of enterprise and open-source application server, database, network and operating systems.

Validating discovery results and troubleshooting as required

Assist with CMDB Processes and Best Practices

Guide customer configuration/implementations of the ServiceNow ITOM Platform

Prepare technical documentation as specified in customer contracts and as internally required

Support sales of software and services through demonstrations, Proof of Concepts, and customer presentations

Deliver projects on customer premise or remotely as required.

Enhance customer knowledge in IT Operations Management with ITIL framework

Provide value-based assessments and workshops to help the customer maximize business results from ServiceNow software.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related degree is required
