Work Samples required. Job Description: City Colleges of Chicago (CCC) is seeking a Tableau expert from its staff augmentation vendors to enhance the design of its Institutional Health Dashboards. The ideal candidate will possess advanced data visualization skills to ensure CCCs dashboards are not only analytically robust but also visually compelling and on-brand. Institutional Health is a strategic priority for CCC, serving as one of the key levers in its strategic plan. The related dashboards are designed to support a culture of informed decision-making and continuous improvement by providing insight into the organizations most critical metricsour institutional "vital signs"that reflect overall well-being and our capacity to achieve strategic goals. CCC has developed a set of ten dashboards, aligned to key departments across the institution. These dashboards are currently designed for internal audiences and are undergoing stakeholder feedback. We are now seeking expert support to refine and elevate these dashboards through improved visual storytelling, preparing them for a broader audience. Refinement Of Existing Dashboards | Scope Of Work: CCC has developed ten draft dashboards in Tableau and is currently gathering feedback from key internal stakeholders. The dashboards include a very solid foundation and already have some design alignment. This will not require a full overhaul of every chart or feature. The project will begin with a comprehensive review of the existing dashboards and stakeholder feedback to inform the plan for enhancement and alignment. CCC will provide a Tableau Creator license and VPN access to the computer with the dashboards. Using these insights, the consultant will develop a detailed enhancement plan focused on improving data visualization, design, and alignment across the full suite of dashboards. The enhancement plan must address stakeholder feedback while also applying best practices in visual design, and brand consistency (https://branding.ccc.edu/). If the consultant identifies alternative approaches to stakeholder suggestions, clear rationale and recommendations should be provided. Upon CCCs approval of the enhancement plan, the consultant will implement the agreed-upon changes in Tableau. Dashboards to be reviewed and refined as part of this project are listed in Appendix A Landscape of Institutional Health Dashboards. Dashboard and Stakeholder Feedback Assessment Review the ten existing Tableau dashboards. Review and incorporate feedback from internal stakeholders. Evaluate the overall dashboard design, focusing on usability and compelling data visualization. Data Visualization and Dashboard Design Develop a comprehensive enhancement plan that includes: Recommendations to improve dashboard design and alignment. Specific enhancements to individual charts and visualizations. Integration of stakeholder feedback, with clear explanations for any alternative recommendations. Implementation Implement approved enhancements directly in Tableau. Deliver documentation outlining the design standards, visual guidelines, and best practices applied, to support future maintenance and ensure long-term consistency. Scope Deliverables: The consultant will be responsible for delivering the following: Dashboard Enhancement Proposal Refined Institutional Health Dashboards Data Visualization Standards Guide Timeline: Proposals should include a clear timeline. We estimate 4-6 weeks to complete the project. Preferred Qualifications: The ideal consultant will have: Proven expertise in advanced Tableau development and dashboard design. Demonstrated ability to apply data visualization and storytelling techniques.
