Role: Sr. Java Full Stack Developer Location: Livonia, Michigan ( Need Only Locals to MI) Type of Employment: Contract Note: No H1B's - any other VISAs are fine (OPT EAD, GC EAD, H4 EAD, OPT EAD, or any other EADs) General Purpose The Senior Java Developer is responsible for designing, writing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable, and high-performance application software in an Agile environment. This role includes leading development efforts, resolving technical issues, and continuously enhancing development processes. The Senior Java Developer will also mentor junior developers and take on leadership responsibilities as needed. Development Practices: Maintain and enhance automated build and deploy processes using modern CI/CD tools. Develop deployment instructions and ensure successful deployments. Design and implement automated unit testing frameworks. Conduct thorough unit testing and code reviews. Adhere to Life security and compliance requirements. Project Responsibilities: Translate business requirements into innovative technology solutions. Take ownership of technical aspects and drive projects to completion. Understand requirements, design, and full project architecture. Conduct technical analysis and work breakdown. Develop solution designs and estimate work. Maintain, troubleshoot, enhance, and document components. Participate in design reviews and peer-reviews. Use best practices and coding standards. Identify and mitigate project risks. Collaborate with the team to mitigate risks. Support applications outside of normal business hours. Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field. 7+ years of overall IT experience, 5+ years with enterprise software applications. Experience in Agile software development practices. Must Have 5+ years of hands-on experience with Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, REST, SOAP, Microservices, GIT, JUnit, Mockito. Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model. Minimum 3+ years experience in ReactJS, Node JS. Must be able to understand existing development stack involving microservices and react apps and contribute to team goals. Experience with content management systems like Bloomreach. Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux). Hands-on experience of working with relational databases. Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc. Knowledge of HTML5 & CSS3. Familiarity with RESTful APIs. JavaScript Unit Testing (e.g., Jest). Optional Experience with TypeScript. Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js). Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Leadership Responsibilities Mentor and guide junior developers. Lead development efforts and ensure adherence to best practices. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
