The ETL Tester will be responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and reliability of our ETL processes. This role involves designing and executing test plans, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating with developers and data analysts to ensure data integrity. Responsibilities: Test Planning and Design: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for ETL processes. Analyze business requirements and data mapping documents to determine testing needs. Identify and define test data requirements. Test Execution and Data Validation: Perform data validation and verification to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Execute SQL queries to validate data transformations and data loads. Compare source and target data to identify discrepancies. Perform regression testing to ensure that changes do not negatively impact existing ETL processes. Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects using defect tracking tools. Collaborate with developers to resolve defects and ensure timely resolution. Conduct root cause analysis of defects. Documentation and Reporting: Document test results and provide detailed reports on findings. Maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Provide regular status updates to stakeholders. Collaboration: Work closely with ETL developers, data analysts, and business stakeholders. Participate in requirements gathering and review sessions. Contribute to the development of ETL testing best practices. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
