In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes using IBM InfoSphere DataStage. You will collaborate with data architects, data analysts, and other developers to build and optimize data pipelines that support our business intelligence and data warehousing initiatives. Responsibilities: DataStage Development: Design, develop, and maintain ETL jobs using IBM InfoSphere DataStage. Develop and implement data transformations, data cleansing, and data validation processes. Optimize DataStage jobs for performance and efficiency. Create and maintain DataStage job documentation. Troubleshoot and resolve DataStage job failures and performance issues. Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources (e.g., databases, flat files, APIs) into the data warehouse. Develop and maintain data connectors and interfaces. Ensure data quality and consistency across integrated systems. Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with data architects and business analysts to gather and document ETL requirements. Analyze data sources and data flows. Translate business requirements into technical specifications. Testing and Deployment: Develop and execute test plans and test cases. Perform unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing. Deploy DataStage jobs to production environments. Performance Tuning and Optimization: Monitor DataStage job performance and resource utilization. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. Optimize DataStage configurations and settings. Documentation and Support: Create and maintain technical documentation for DataStage jobs and processes. Provide technical support to end-users and other IT staff. Train users on DataStage best practices. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with data architects, data analysts, and other developers. Communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively. Participate in project meetings and provide status updates. Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Strong proficiency in IBM InfoSphere DataStage. Experience with data warehousing and data modeling concepts. Strong understanding of ETL processes and best practices. Proficiency in SQL. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred: IBM DataStage certifications. Experience with other ETL tools. Experience with cloud-based data warehousing platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift). Experience with scripting languages (e.g., scripting, Python).
