Job Description (JD) - Senior C++ Architect/Lead with GitLab Pipeline Experience Position Title : Senior C++ Architect/Lead Location : [ MILWAUKEE ] Job Type : Full-time About the Role: As a Senior C++ Architect/Lead, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex software solutions in C++ while leading a team of engineers. You will work closely with product management, design, and quality assurance teams to deliver high-quality software products. Additionally, experience with GitLab pipelines is crucial as it will be used for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes. Key Responsibilities: Lead and architect software solutions using C++. Oversee the design and development of new features while ensuring scalability and maintainability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA, and DevOps to define project requirements and deliverables. Implement and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, integration, and deployment. Ensure code quality, security, and best practices are maintained across the codebase. Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers to help them grow in their skills. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. Manage and prioritize technical debt and contribute to architectural decisions. Optimize software performance and memory usage for large-scale applications. Troubleshoot complex issues and provide solutions in a timely manner. Requirements: Strong experience in C++ development, including modern C++ standards (C++11, C++14, C++17). Deep understanding of software architecture and design principles. Proven experience leading development teams and delivering large-scale software systems. Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, integration, and deployment. Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative workflows. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues. Experience with performance optimization and multi-threading in C++. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Preferred Skills: Familiarity with other programming languages (Python, Java, etc.). Experience with containerization technologies like Docker. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) and microservices architecture. Prior experience in leading and mentoring teams in an agile development environment.
