Need Local candidate Need Linkedin We are looking for someone with Senior level experience in the following Power BI Redshift/ PostgreSQL AWS Aurora MySql We are in the process of implementing Zero-ETL integration between AWS Aurora and Redshift. They will be part of that project. We need them to be able to troubleshoot user issues with data sets, which may include tracing data through Aurora, Doc DB and SQL Server to determine why the reports arent showing the expected data. We also need them to be able to help redesign existing Power BI Data Sets more efficiently. Once they get more familiar with our data models, they may assist with performance tuning on our DW Views that Power BI accesses. Power BI reporting and dashboards will be a plus, but not a priority of their work. Key Responsibilities: Troubleshooting Data Issues: Troubleshoot and resolve user issues related to data sets, including tracing data through AWS Aurora, DocumentDB, and SQL Server to identify and resolve discrepancies in reports. Power BI Data Set Optimization: Help redesign and optimize existing Power BI data sets to improve efficiency, ensuring data sets are scalable, accurate, and meet user requirements. Performance Tuning: Once familiar with the data models, assist with performance tuning of Data Warehouse (DW) Views accessed by Power BI to ensure fast and reliable reporting. Collaboration and Reporting: Collaborate with various teams to understand data requirements, assist in the creation of reporting solutions, and ensure smooth operations of data flows. Power BI Reporting and Dashboards (optional): While not a primary focus, familiarity with Power BI reporting and dashboard creation is a plus. Provide support as needed in reporting and dashboard development. Required Skills and Experience: Power BI: Senior-level expertise in designing and optimizing data sets for Power BI reporting. Database Experience: Extensive experience with Redshift, PostgreSQL, and AWS Aurora MySQL. ETL/Integration Knowledge: Experience in implementing and managing ETL processes, especially in the context of cloud-based integrations (AWS Aurora and Redshift). Troubleshooting Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to trace data through various systems (Aurora, DocumentDB, SQL Server) to resolve issues impacting reporting accuracy. Data Modeling and Performance Tuning: Proficiency in data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning for large-scale data environments. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
