Role : Performance Test Engineer Location : Tampa, FL :: Onsite :: Duration: Contract Key Responsibilities: Experience with Visual Studio Load testing Tool ,Load Roadrunner Performance Center , Jmeter, Blazemeter Identify and recommend NFR requirements for performance testing through analysis of product specifications and software requirements. Design, develop, execute performance test cases and scripts NFR scenarios Performance Testing & Tool Expertise: Utilize performance testing tools like Visual Studio Load Testing, LoadRunner, JMeter, BlazeMeter, and HP Performance Center to design and execute performance test scenarios. Perform load testing, stress testing, and scalability testing to assess system performance under various conditions. Non-Functional Requirements (NFR) Analysis: Analyze product specifications and software requirements to identify and recommend NFRs (e.g., response time, throughput, concurrent users, CPU, memory, disk, and network utilization). Work with stakeholders to define and document performance-related SLAs, expectations, and thresholds. Test Design & Execution: Design, develop, and execute performance test cases and scripts based on NFR scenarios. Work closely with development and project teams to resolve performance-related issues and ensure optimal application performance. Stakeholder Management & Facilitation: Facilitate meetings with project teams and stakeholders to elicit performance-related requirements. Effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Collaborate with teams to establish clear performance metrics and KPIs for successful project outcomes. Analysis & Reporting: Analyze performance test results, including response times, resource utilization, and system throughput. Provide actionable insights and recommendations for performance improvements based on test outcomes. Prepare detailed performance test reports for management and stakeholders. Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Leverage performance monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Windows PerfMon, and others to diagnose system bottlenecks and resource issues. Troubleshoot performance issues across application layers, databases, networks, and infrastructure components (e.g., servers, load balancers, switches, firewalls). Database & SQL Expertise: Utilize SQL query tools for database performance analysis. Work with relational databases to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. Infrastructure & System Knowledge: Have a solid understanding of infrastructure components including servers, network configurations, load balancers, firewalls, and other system components that affect application performance. Project Management & Multi-Tasking: Manage multiple concurrent performance testing projects, ensuring all deadlines and deliverables are met. Prioritize tasks effectively and balance competing demands from various stakeholders. Required Skills & Experience: Proven experience with performance testing tools such as HP LoadRunner, HP Performance Center, JMeter, BlazeMeter, and Visual Studio Load Testing. Deep knowledge of Non-Functional Requirements (NFR), performance SLAs, and performance metrics (e.g., response time, throughput, CPU/memory utilization). Strong ability to design and develop performance test scripts and execute tests in various environments. Experience with performance monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Windows PerfMon, and similar tools. Proficiency in SQL and relational database performance analysis. Infrastructure knowledge: Understanding of servers, networking, load balancers, and firewalls as they relate to performance testing. Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to work across cross-functional teams. Experience in facilitation and requirement gathering from a diverse group of stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex performance issues and provide effective solutions. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively. Desired Skills: Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and testing in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure). Experience in automated performance testing. Familiarity with DevOps and continuous integration (CI) processes. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Certification in performance testing (e.g., HP LoadRunner, JMeter certifications) is a plus. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in performance testing and analysis.
