Windows Engineer Location : Buffalo, NY or Dallas, TX LinkedIn with photo Video Interview 12+ Months Manage Windows Operating System Upgrades and Compliance. Develop and maintain endpoint policies and configurations. Produce and maintain desktop standards, knowledge base, operating procedures, guidelines, and system documentation Work closely with Technology management, senior Engineers, and support teams to implement and manage technical solutions that meet or exceed the organization's needs. Conduct infrastructure review, implementation, and design, and create support and architectural documentation, standards, policies, analysis, and testing. Regularly interact with business partners to ensure clarity of problem/opportunity and elicit business requirements. Coordinate vendor interactions and/or vendor resources as needed. Mentor and coach less experienced engineers, technicians, and integrators. Review documentation, proposals, and changes proposed by less experienced staff. Continuously expand knowledge of Financial Services trends, practices, and technologies. Follow and promote the use of industry best practices, standards, and procedures. Maintain a strong aptitude and working knowledge of Bank applications, systems, and development environments. Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls. Maintain internal control standards, including timely implementation of audit points raised by internal or external regulators. What You'll Need to Have: 6+ years of experience in a technical engineering position involving infrastructure design technologies, data management, system design, and/or development for complex applications. Strong knowledge of Windows OS deployment, upgrades, and compliance management. Ability to develop, implement, and maintain endpoint policies and configurations across enterprise environments. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Power) to automate system upgrades, policy enforcement, and configuration management. Hands-on experience with endpoint management solutions such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM), Intune, or related tools. Ability to work with IT security, infrastructure, and helpdesk teams to implement policies and ensure compliance. Experience in managing change control processes and maintaining up-to-date system documentation. Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute large-scale Windows OS upgrade projects and endpoint configuration initiatives.
