In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of our Tableau Server environment. You will ensure the availability, performance, and security of our Tableau platform, and collaborate with data analysts and business users to support their data visualization needs. Responsibilities: Tableau Server Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Tableau Server environments. Manage user access and permissions. Monitor server performance and resource utilization. Perform server backups and restores. Apply server patches and upgrades. Troubleshoot and resolve server issues. Performance Tuning and Optimization: Optimize Tableau Server configurations for performance. Analyze and tune server performance. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. Implement and maintain server monitoring tools. Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain Tableau Server security policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulations. Manage data encryption and access control. Perform security audits. Content Management: Manage Tableau Server content, including workbooks, data sources, and projects. Implement and maintain content governance policies. Assist users with content publishing and sharing. User Support and Training: Provide technical support to Tableau users. Develop and maintain user documentation. Conduct training sessions for Tableau users. Automation and Scripting: Automate server administrative tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Tabcmd, Python). Develop and maintain automation scripts for server deployments and maintenance. Work with the Tableau API. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with data analysts, business users, and IT teams. Communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.
