UID: f26cf13fda6842acb11804a69ed460c6 Job Title: Application Security Engineer Location: Remote Duration: 6+ Months Visa: Authorized to work in the US Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Application Security Engineer with expertise in Source Code Analysis (SCA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 9 years of experience in the field, with proven experience performing manual and automated security testing across various platforms. This includes conducting SAST (Static Application Security Testing), DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing), and penetration testing on a range of applications and networks. Strong programming knowledge, particularly in Java or C#, is required. Key Responsibilities: Perform manual security code reviews against common programming languages such as Java and .NET. Conduct automated testing of running applications and static code using tools like SAST and DAST. Perform manual penetration testing on applications, APIs, internal and external networks, and mobile applications to identify vulnerabilities. Develop and create new testing methods to identify vulnerabilities and entry points that could be exploited by attackers. Provide technical leadership and advice to team members on penetration test engagements and help them grow in their security testing knowledge. Effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences to explain testing processes, techniques, and results. Partner with Cybersecurity teams to innovate new testing techniques, automation processes, and marketing collateral. Mentor junior and offshore team members on tools and techniques used in security testing. Required Skills and Experience: 9+ years of experience as an Application Security Engineer. Expertise in Source Code Analysis (SCA) and performing manual security code reviews. Proven ability to perform SAST and DAST testing on web applications, internal applications, APIs, mobile applications, and networks. Formal programming experience in Java or C# (at least 6 months). Minimum three (3) years of experience using application security tools such as AppScan, NetsSparker, Acunetix, Checkmarx, Veracode, BurpSuite, OWASP ZAP, Kali Linux, or equivalent tools. Good to Have: Ethical hacking certifications such as GWAPT, CREST, OSCP, OSWE, or OSWA are preferred but not required.
