UID: ac3e30b318ae4896b1cbc98aacbda519 Position: Technical Architect Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid) Experience: 15+ years Duration: Long-Term Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Azure Data Architect with a strong focus on customer engagement and technical depth. In this role, you will work closely with pre-sales, business units, and engineering teams on some of HCL's largest and most strategic customer engagements. Your primary responsibility will be to design, define, and implement cloud-native solutions on Azure, particularly in building landing zones, executing POCs, and driving pilot migration projects. This role requires significant experience in consulting or architecture, specifically with software/services companies, to ensure successful cloud solution implementations for clients. Roles & Responsibilities: Understand customer IT estate, business applications, priorities, and success metrics to design comprehensive cloud architectures and solutions. Collaborate with various stakeholders such as network, security, AD, backup, tools, and application architects to create enterprise-grade solutions. Build strong, lasting relationships with key IT decision-makers to provide tailored solutions. Define long-term cloud strategies and mentor teams in the implementation of these strategies. Stay current with market trends and competitive insights while continuously enhancing technical skills. Advocate for new cloud features and solutions that enhance operational efficiency and drive cost reduction. Serve as a subject-matter expert on Microsoft Azure, assisting with sales and pre-sales activities, including RFP responses. Required Skills & Qualifications: 8-12 years of experience in consulting or an architecture position with software/services companies. Strong knowledge of cloud computing, specifically with Azure services (e.g., Data Lake Storage, Databricks, Data Factory, etc.). Proficiency in database design, data warehousing, data lakes, and data governance. Expertise in relational and non-relational databases (SQL/NoSQL). Experience in building data pipelines using tools like Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics. Hands-on experience with ETL processes, data integration techniques, and ensuring data quality. Deep knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments (encryption, identity management, access control). Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2. Ability to ensure cost-effective data solutions that perform efficiently, including performance monitoring and optimization. Experience with PaaS services, including Logic App, Function App, App Service, Key Vault, and Containers. Extensive experience in conducting design workshops and documenting High-Level Design (HLD) documents. Proven track record of building technical relationships with senior IT executives and growing data services in large, strategic accounts. Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and work collaboratively to drive decisions. Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially for presentations to executives and IT management.
