In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and support of our VMware virtualization environment. You will work closely with other IT teams to ensure the stability, performance, and security of our virtual infrastructure. Responsibilities: VMware Environment Management: Design, implement, and maintain VMware vSphere environments. Install, configure, and manage ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and related components. Perform capacity planning and resource optimization. Implement and manage VMware High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions. Perform VMware upgrades and patching. Virtual Machine Management: Provision and manage virtual machines (VMs). Troubleshoot VM performance and connectivity issues. Implement and manage VM templates and cloning. Manage VM snapshots and backups. Storage and Networking: Configure and manage VMware vSAN and other storage solutions. Configure and manage VMware vSphere networking. Troubleshoot storage and network connectivity issues. Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain Power scripts for VMware automation. Implement and maintain automation tools. Automate routine VMware tasks. Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain VMware security policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulations. Perform security audits and vulnerability assessments. Documentation and Support: Document VMware configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Provide technical support to end-users and other IT teams. Train users on VMware best practices. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other IT teams (e.g., network, storage, security).
