UID: 7eec83513c6a4ddbb92bc81607306ce4 Oracle DB Developer (with Vertex Experience) Location: Onsite San Francisco or San Jose, CA Experience: 5+ Years Job Type: Full-Time Job Overview: We are seeking an Oracle DB Developer with Vertex Tax experience to implement and configure Oracle Financials and Vertex tax solutions for various global Legal Entities (US, Canada, UK, Italy, Turkey, Portugal, etc.). You will play a key role in ensuring the successful implementation of financial and tax solutions, collaborating with multiple stakeholders, and providing ongoing support. Key Responsibilities: 1. Implementation Planning Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand financial and tax requirements and develop tailored implementation plans. 2. Configuration and Customization Configure and customize Oracle Finance modules and Vertex tax software to meet unique tax rules, rates, and exemptions across various legal entities. 3. Integration Integrate Vertex tax solutions with ERP or financial systems for Use Tax and Sales Tax to ensure seamless data flow and accurate tax calculations. 4. Testing and Quality Assurance Conduct thorough testing of Oracle Cloud financial modules and Vertex tax implementations to ensure accuracy and reliability. Resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise. 5. Training and Support Provide training and ongoing support to end-users on the Oracle Cloud and Vertex tax software. Address any questions or concerns from the team. 6. Documentation Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Oracle financials and Vertex tax implementations, including guides, manuals, and troubleshooting procedures. 7. Continuous Improvement Stay updated on industry trends and best practices for Oracle Cloud and tax compliance solutions. Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Vertex Tax Software Certification (e.g., Vertex Certified Professional). Oracle ERP Financial Modules Certification (AP, AR, GL, FA). 3+ years of experience in tax technology implementations with a focus on Vertex tax solutions for Use Tax and Sales Tax. 5+ years of experience working with Oracle ERP Cloud financial modules such as GL, AP, AR, FA, and Projects. Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, particularly in sales and use tax. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both business and technical teams. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
