Job Description: This position is for an expert SQL database administrator. The main project will involve migration of SQL Server databases and associated tables, stored procedures, triggers, jobs, and data to Google Cloud Platform hosted PostgreSQL. Deep knowledge of SQL Server, PostreSQL and migrations issues between them are needed. Beyond the initial migration project ongoing SQL development tasks related to maintaining IDs and analyzing data and providing reports will be necessary. Day-to-day responsibilities include: Design/create database tables Analyze data, write queries, data reports Create functions and stored procedures Create, set up, and check SQL jobs Maintain SQL IDs Skills Required: SQL Server Enterprise PostgreSQL Google Cloud Platform Jenkins Flyway Skills Preferred: Github Elastic Jira Tekton AI/LLMs Experience Required: Should have 8+ years between SQL Server and PostreSQL. Must have successfully completed at least one large scale migration of SQL Server to PostgreSQL. Should be comfortable utilizing Jenkins jobs with Flyway to execute queries and be able to help others with their queries . Experience Preferred: Any additional experience with Elastic (ELK) would be valuable.
