Job Title: Workday HCM Administrator (PV W2) 

Location: Hauppauge, NY - Need Local Only 

Job Type: on-site

Duration: 6 months + Contract-To-Hire

OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for a Workday HCM Administrator for a six (6) month Contract-To-Hire role onsite in Hauppauge, NY.

OVERVIEW:

This role will be responsible for ongoing administration, configuration, reporting, and optimization of the existing Workday implementation. Candidates must be able to work onsite in Hauppauge, NY. This role will be a member of the larger Information Technology Department supporting a diverse set of systems. The Workday implementation includes Human Resources Management, Benefits, Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, Learning, Talent Management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administration & Configuration: Performs day-to-day administration and configuration of Workday system in accordance with established processes including setup of users, security, management of foundation objects, configuration of workflows, and assisting with setting up / trouble-shooting data integrations.

Optimization: Assists in providing functional guidance and implementing best practice solutions to fit business need and streamline administration.

Reporting: Designs and generates ad hoc and recurring reports. This includes reports for the user-community to support day-to-day operations and for organizational leadership to support strategic decision making.

Documentation: Designs and maintains processes, procedures, and support documentation.

Ticket Resolution: Creates tickets, trouble-shoots issues, and manages through resolution.

Project Support: Assists in larger project efforts with requirements gathering, solution design, configuration/development, testing, implementation, and/or ongoing support.

Data Management: Supports HR and IT leadership with overall data management.

Vendor Coordination: Monitors Workday technology advancements to recommend and support continuous improvements and system upgrades.

On-call Support: Provide 247 remote support for Workday and other IT systems as assigned as a member of the on-call rotation team.

Technical Skills:

Workday HCM: Experience providing Workday HCM administration, configuration, and reporting support.

System Administration: Experience administering production systems that demand high availability.

Requirements Gathering and Estimating: Ability to work with client to understand business requirements, design solutions, and develop estimates to complete request.

Process Oriented: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a structured IT environment and seeks repeatable/sustainable technology solutions.

Soft Skills:

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members effectively.

Customer Service: Builds and maintain strong client relationships, understand their needs, and provide exceptional service.

Teamwork: Works effectively with others, cross-trains, and promotes overall team success.

Self-managed: Ability to work independently to complete assigned work request while effectively managing time, communicating status, and proactively working across the organization to resolve issues.

Continuous Learner: Passion for learning and advancing skills to keep pace with industry advancement and to add increasing value in the workplace.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or another related field

Workday HCM Core certification, Required.

Two (2) plus years of HRIS administration or configuration experience including two (2) or more modules in the Workday HCM suite specifically including HR Management, Benefits, Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, Learning, and Talent Management.

Three (3) plus years of overall work experience in HR and/or IT roles.

Preferred:

Workday HCM Pro training and/or certifications including Compensation, Benefits, Learning, Recruiting, Talent and/or Performance

Workday PATT training and/or certifications including U.S. Payroll, Absence, and/or Time Tracking

Workday Reporting and Analytics Pro training and/or certifications including HCM Reporting

State and/or local government HRIS experience
