Job Overview:
We are seeking a Sr. AWS Data Engineer with 12+ years of extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale data systems on AWS. The ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and a deep understanding of data engineering principles. You will work in a hybrid environment and be responsible for building and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring the efficient processing of data, and contributing to data-driven decision-making within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Pipeline Management: Design, develop, and manage scalable and reliable data pipelines on AWS (AWS Glue, S3, Redshift, Lambda, Athena, etc.).

Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to align data architecture with business goals.

ETL Development: Build robust ETL processes using AWS-native services and tools.

Workflow Optimization: Automate and optimize data workflows to improve performance and reduce latency.

Data Integrity & Security: Ensure data consistency, quality, and compliance with security standards.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve data pipeline issues efficiently.

Technical Documentation: Maintain clear documentation for data processes, architecture, and configurations.

Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with AWS advancements and emerging trends in data engineering.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

12+ years of experience in data engineering with a strong focus on AWS cloud technologies.

Expertise in AWS services such as AWS Glue, Redshift, Lambda, S3, Athena, RDS, and Kinesis.

Strong experience in ETL design and development.

Proficient in SQL and Python (Java/Scala knowledge is a plus).

Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.

Experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).

Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration frameworks.

Proficiency with AWS CloudFormation or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.

Experience in CI/CD pipelines for data engineering projects.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).

Ability to work independently and within a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

AWS Certification (AWS Certified Big Data - Specialty or AWS Certified Solutions Architect).

Experience with DevOps practices and tools.

Familiarity with machine learning workflows and AWS AI/ML services (SageMaker, etc.).

Experience with real-time data processing and streaming tools (Apache Kafka).
