Responsible for maintaining, distributing, and reporting on trading, revenue, risk, and reference data (client, product, pricing). At the forefront of database technology, involved in data engineering, data science, data visualization, and machine learning efforts. Key data sets are authoritative sources for business decisions. Responsibilities: Develop and support multi-terabyte, massively distributed orders and executions platform for equities, rates, and FX globally. Mix of classic KDB technology with modern distributed systems (e.g., Kafka, Snowflake). Architect and develop solutions with a "best tool for the job" approach. Develop tools for data acquisition/loading, data quality, and production support. Work on systems supporting electronic and high-frequency trading. Ensure low latency, fast ingestion, and highly available database. Create solutions to provide easy access to trading analytics, pricing, and market information. Develop modularized, microservice-based components. Support a diverse range of asset classes, data types, and frequencies. Ideal Candidate: Strong expertise in KDB and related data processing technologies. Capable of working with distributed data engineering systems. Knowledge of state-of-the-art systems and tools used in trading and data analytics. Key Technologies: KDB+ Kafka Snowflake Data engineering, data science, and machine learning tools The responsibilities include: Develop current kdb+ based infrastructure to ensure support for queries from native Q and other languages (including Java, C#, python) and enhance the architecture to support a low latency, fast ingestion, highly available database. The goal is to provide easy access to a broad range of trading analytics, pricing and market information for the business units to help them make informed business decisions.
