Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Major Incident Manager with a strong background in infrastructure management to oversee and coordinate major incidents impacting IT services. The ideal candidate will have expertise in networking, cloud services, servers, storage, and data centers, ensuring rapid resolution of critical infrastructure incidents while minimizing business disruption.

Key Responsibilities:

Incident Management & Response:

            Lead the response to high-impact IT infrastructure incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

            Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for all major incidents related to networks, servers, cloud, and data centers.

            Coordinate technical teams across network, server, database, and cloud platforms to drive rapid diagnosis and resolution.

            Escalate incidents to senior leadership and vendor partners as required, ensuring proper communication and response.

            Ensure timely resolution of incidents within agreed SLA (Service Level Agreement) timelines.

Communication & Stakeholder Management:

            Provide real-time updates to business and IT leadership, ensuring transparency on incident status, impact, and resolution efforts.

            Facilitate technical war rooms to drive collaboration and decision-making.

            Engage with third-party vendors and service providers to accelerate resolution where required.

            Draft post-incident reports, ensuring lessons learned and preventative measures are documented.

Root Cause Analysis & Continuous Improvement:

            Lead post-incident reviews (PIRs) to identify root causes and prevent recurrence of major incidents.

            Work with problem management teams to implement permanent fixes and long-term improvements.

            Analyze incident trends to recommend proactive infrastructure improvements.

            Ensure compliance with ITIL frameworks and best practices in incident management.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:

            Strong knowledge of infrastructure services such as:

o            Networking: Firewalls, Load Balancers, VPNs, SD-WAN, Cisco, Palo Alto, etc.

o            Servers & Storage: Windows/Linux servers, SAN, NAS, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).

o            Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP (Cloud networking, compute, and storage).

o            Monitoring Tools: Splunk, SolarWinds, ServiceNow, Dynatrace, or similar.

Incident Management & Leadership:

            5+ years of experience in major incident management within an enterprise IT environment.

            Expertise in
ITIL processes, preferably ITIL v4 certified.

            Strong stakeholder management and ability to communicate effectively under pressure.

            Experience handling P1/P2 incidents across global IT infrastructure.

            Ability to multitask and drive resolution in fast-paced, high-stress environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

            Experience in financial services, healthcare, or other regulated industries.

            Familiarity with DevOps, SRE principles, and automation in incident response.

            Certifications such as
CCNA, AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Administrator, or equivalent.
