This role will involve enhancing the efficiency of our business operations through software development for various projects, including processing monthly payments, improving online services for members, and transitioning client-server applications into modern web-based systems. As an ASRS Java Agile Software Developer, you will work within a dynamic Agile Scrum environment, collaborating with other developers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions. Key Responsibilities: Develop, test, and deploy Java-based web applications and web services as part of one of our Agile Scrum teams. Work within an Agile framework, participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint retrospectives, and collaborate with team members to ensure the delivery of functional software after each sprint. Utilize tools like Atlassian Agile and JIRA to manage your work and track progress. Contribute to all parts of the application stack, including automated tests, user interfaces, backend services, and database operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of various enterprise systems. Follow secure software development practices, contribute to vulnerability remediation, and maintain the highest code quality standards. Ensure timely delivery of features, enhancements, and bug fixes while maintaining a focus on scalability, performance, and security. Keep up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies to improve personal and team performance. Required Skills and Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in Information Technology, with at least three years focused on developing Java web applications or web services. Agile Experience: Strong understanding of Agile Scrum methodology and experience working in Agile teams. Development Methodologies: Familiarity with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Test Driven Development (TDD). Experience with Cucumber is a plus. Software Lifecycle Knowledge: Proficient in all stages of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, and deployment. Version Control & CI: Experience with version control, configuration management, and continuous integration practices. Application Design & Quality Assurance: Solid experience in systems analysis, application design, and coordinating multiple enterprise systems to achieve functionality. Secure Software Development: Knowledge of secure coding practices and experience in software vulnerability remediation is desirable. Technologies: Experience with Java 8/17+, Spring Framework, Apache Tomcat, JQuery, Bootstrap, Oracle databases is a plus. Testing: Knowledge of automated testing tools like Cucumber and Selenium.
