As a Senior IBM MQ Administrator, you will work closely with application teams and infrastructure engineers to design, provision, and maintain a robust MQ environment. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring high availability, security, and performance across mainframe and distributed systems. Key Responsibilities: Architect & Implement MQ solutions tailored to application team needs. Administer & Support MQ infrastructure on mainframe (z/OS) and distributed platforms. Manage queue sharing groups, clusters, channel authentication, certificates, and security policies. Monitor & Troubleshoot MQ alerts, incidents, and performance issues. Support Disaster Recovery (DR) and change management events. Collaborate & Consult with developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders. Ensure Compliance & Security following industry best practices. What You Bring to the Team: 8+ years of experience administering MQ in a z/OS environment. Deep expertise in Queue Sharing Groups, MQ clusters, TLS certificates, and security exits. Understanding of mainframe dependencies, capacity planning, IPL, and DR events. Basic MQ application programming knowledge in C, COBOL, or Java (preferred). Experience with MQ upgrades, channel authentication, and stream queues. Strong grasp of incident management, troubleshooting, and change management. Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment. Experience in financial services or securities industry. Preferred Skills & Experience: Basic mainframe application programming in COBOL.
