The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing functional designs, and then designing, building, and testing ETL jobs using SAP Data Services. This role requires a strong understanding of data warehousing principles, experience with various database systems, and a commitment to establishing and maintaining high standards for solution development and project delivery. The SAP BODS Developer will play a critical role in ensuring successful data migration and integration projects within our SAP landscape. Key Responsibilities: Data Conversion Analysis: Analyze functional design specifications to understand data conversion requirements and translate them into technical ETL specifications. ETL Job Design and Development: Design, develop, and implement robust and efficient ETL jobs using SAP Data Services to extract, transform, and load data from various source systems into target systems. Data Integration: Develop data integration solutions between SAP and non-SAP systems, leveraging SAP Data Services capabilities. Database Expertise: Work extensively with relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as HANA, MS SQL, Oracle, and DB2. SAP Technical Knowledge: Utilize good technical knowledge of SAP integration technologies, including RFC, BAPI, IDOC, and LSMW. Testing and Validation: Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Standards and Best Practices: Establish, maintain, and adhere to high standards for ETL development, data quality, and project delivery. Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize ETL job performance for efficiency and scalability. Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for ETL processes, data mappings, and job designs. Collaboration: Work closely with functional SAP consultants, business analysts, and other technical team members to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions. Continuous Learning: Actively participate in skills development and training opportunities, including company-paid certifications, to learn the latest technologies such as cloud, analytics, and Robotics Process Automation (RPA) offered by SAP. Apply this knowledge in project work. Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 1 [Number] years of hands-on experience in SAP BODS development, specifically with a focus on data conversion projects.
