The QA owns the SDLC process and controls the movement of code from development to production environments. Description: This role acts as a Functional QA, ensures SDLC processes are being followed, assist in continuous improvements and project collaboration as needed. Drives testing of all business projects and ensures requirements meet acceptance criteria. Bridges gaps between developers and acceptance criteria. RESPONSIBILITIES: Developing and managing all tasks related to the role of Functional QA. Providing reports through office applications and enterprise tools that align to company metrics and measure performance. Collaborating with team members for the purpose of collecting data and executing the companys mission. Creating and maintaining documentation that defines QA processes and procedures. Creating and maintaining content that can be used to report on changes to production a nd history to prove process aligns to SOC and SDLC controls. Assist in triage of production defects and release rollbacks as needed. Maintain communication between stakeholders and IT related to the role of Functional QA. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of five years experience in roles related to QA. Expert knowledge and respect for software development life cycle (SDLC). Has grown progressively as a QA subject matter expert over time. Shows maturity in areas that ensure standards are enforced and well documented. Acts as a mentor to team members. Demonstrates ability to adapt to rapid changes in technology and adopt new methods and tools as best suited for the company. Experience in with Azure DevOps platform and common source controls. Excellent positive communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to make presentations when required. Proven self-direction in planning and execution of performing and understanding multiple processes and procedures. Organization, flexibility, and multiple task/project orientation to handle duties assigned. Skill in focusing on desired results, determining what is important and urgent, clarifying next steps, and delegating effectively to meet deadlines and achieve desired results. Demonstrated professional conduct and judgement. Ability to adhere to the highest ethical standards including honesty, integrity, dedication, and leadership. EXPECTATIONS: Functional QA must be disciplined to work independently with minimum supervision or oversight. This is a lead position within IT with the expectation that he/she leads the progress and helps guide project commitments. This role is a working role where 80% of capacity will be spent on action items directly aligned to this role. Other capacity will be used to enhance and stabilize processes related to role.
