This includes supporting systems such as NYTD, AFCARS, and NCANDS, along with any other projects requiring ETL support. This position will assist the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) in ensuring that the needed data is available for stakeholders to be productive. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with State and contract staff, as well as the operational SACWIS/CCWIS system developers, to ensure the operational system databases support the data needs of the Child Welfare Data Warehouse. Work with State and contract staff to design and load the Child Welfare Data Warehouse database model, ensuring it supports reporting and analytic needs for DHHS. As the SACWIS/CCWIS project evolves, work with relevant teams to make necessary changes to the Child Welfare Data Warehouse. Provide database expertise to other application developers, DBAs, and data management staff, ensuring efficient development and integration of the business intelligence applications. Develop reporting, dashboards, and visualizations for data warehouse-based applications. Manage ETL processes (Extract, Transform, Load) to ensure smooth data movement from various operational systems to a cleansed and consolidated data warehouse. Work with Federal reporting team and end user query developers to design and improve database queries. Provide support and guidance to end user requestors, assisting in the creation and implementation of solutions tailored to their data needs. Deliver training classes for DTMB developers, focusing on the use of Teradata and BI development tools for reporting solutions. Offer one-on-one support to developers and end users, ensuring that federal data reporting needs are successfully met. Key Skills & Experience: 3+ years of experience with Teradata Cloud (version 17.20). 3+ years of experience with Business Objects XI and/or Power BI. 3+ years of hands-on experience in ETL processes and system integration. Strong background working with federal reporting systems and data warehouse architectures. Proven experience working in a collaborative environment involving cross-functional teams (State, contract staff, and developers). Familiarity with SACWIS/CCWIS systems and federal child welfare reporting requirements (NYTD, AFCARS, NCANDS) is a plus. Technical Environment: Teradata Cloud version 17.20 Business Objects XI 4.2 SP4 on Windows 2012 virtual platform. Shared platform with other State of Michigan departments. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience working with federal or state government data systems. Familiarity with data warehouse architecture, including dimensional modeling and database optimization techniques. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Education and Experience: 14+ years of experience in data warehouse architecture and business intelligence. A background working in federal or state government IT environments is highly preferred.
