Job Title: Cloud Solutions Architect Location: Providence, RI ( Onsite) Contract: Long term contract About the Role: We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and be able to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-based solutions. This role is critical in driving our cloud transformation and modernization initiatives while ensuring alignment with business goals. Key Responsibilities: Design end-to-end cloud architecture solutions based on business requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand application, data, and infrastructure requirements and provide cloud-based solutions. Lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance, and cost-effective cloud architectures. Define and document cloud architecture patterns, standards, and best practices. Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of cloud solutions. Provide technical leadership and guidance during all phases of the cloud lifecycle (e.g., planning, implementation, migration, and operations). Evaluate and recommend cloud services and tools to optimize performance, reliability, and cost. Lead cloud governance efforts including tagging, cost management, and security compliance. Mentor engineering and DevOps teams on cloud best practices and architecture principles. Required Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 12+ years of IT experience with at least 5+ years in cloud architecture roles. Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Deep knowledge of cloud architecture principles including networking, identity, security, storage, and compute. Proven experience with cloud-native services, microservices architecture, API integration, and serverless technologies. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates, etc. Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Strong knowledge of cloud security principles and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, SOC2). Excellent communication and presentation skills. Preferred Qualifications: Cloud certifications such as: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate/Professional Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Google Professional Cloud Architect Experience in hybrid and multi-cloud architecture. Background in software development or DevOps practices is a plus.
