MFT Consultant - IBM Sterling

JD:-

5+ years of experience in IT industry in Banking domain.

Design, develop, and deploy file transfer solutions using IBM Sterling MFT suite, including configuration, customization, and integration with internal systems.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for file transfer workflows.

Implement secure file transfer protocols and encryption standards to protect sensitive data during transit.

Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning of file transfer processes to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency.

Conduct regular maintenance and upgrades of IBM Sterling MFT infrastructure to keep pace with evolving business needs and technological advancements.

Develop documentation, including design documents, technical specifications, and operational procedures, to support the implementation and operation of file transfer solutions.

Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in file transfer management to recommend and implement continuous improvements.

Must have strong technical skills in the below areas.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Proven experience in designing, developing, and implementing file transfer solutions using IBM Sterling MFT suite.

Proficiency in IBM Sterling Control Center, IBM Sterling Secure Proxy, IBM Sterling File Gateway, and IBM Sterling External Authentication Server.

Strong understanding of file transfer protocols such as FTP, SFTP, FTPS, AS2, and HTTPS, as well as encryption standards and algorithms.

Hands-on experience with scripting languages like , Perl, or Python for automation and customization of file transfer workflows.

Familiarity with banking industry regulations and compliance requirements related to file transfer security and data protection.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

IBM Sterling MFT certification is a plus.

Experience working in a banking or financial services environment.

Knowledge of IBM Sterling B2B Integrator and IBM Sterling Integrator Mapping and Translation modules.
